Poor Posture, Poor Health
Personal training routines that include exercises to improve posture can lead improved overall health.
It is no secret that posture plays a significant role in overall health and well-being. In fact, many personal trainers focus on posture correction as one of the first steps in helping their clients achieve better overall fitness. Unfortunately, many people today have adopted poor posture habits as a result of modern trends and technologies. This has led to an increase in pain and other health problems.
Poor posture has become a common problem in recent years. This is largely due to the fact that many of us spend large amounts of time sitting or standing in front of computers and other electronic screens. This causes our necks and shoulders to round forward, which puts strain on our upper back and can lead to pain. Luckily, there are a few simple things you can do to consciously improve your posture.
These are just a few ways you can consciously improve your posture. At Best Day Fitness, posture correction is one of the main areas we focus on to improve our clients wellness.
1) Stand up straight, consciously
First, make a conscious effort to stand up straight. This may seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference in your overall posture.
2) Pull your shoulders back and down
Second, when sitting, be sure to keep your back straight and your shoulders pulled back. You may need to adjust your chair or use a pillow to support your lower back if you have trouble keeping your back straight.
3) Try keeping electronic devices at eye level
Third, when using your electronic devices, be sure to hold them at eye level to avoid strain on your neck. It's important to be mindful of how often you are looking down and pulling your neck forward when using your electronic device.
These are just a few ways you can consciously improve your posture. At Best Day Fitness, posture correction is one of the main areas we focus on to improve our clients wellness.
